iRobot Roomba 865 Offers Easy Handling

Once unpacked and fully charged the Roomba 865 is ready to use. It can either be started by a push of the “CLEAN” button or through the time programming.

Time Program of the iRobot

Once programmed, the Roomba 865 carries out its cleaning tasks at the selected time. Afterwards, it automatically returns to its charging station. There can be selected one starting time each weekday.

Roomba 865 Navigates Around Obstacles

Narrow passages, corners or edges don’t encounter any problem for the iRobot Roomba 865. Thanks to its integrated sensors the robot hoover is able to recognize abysses and obstacles. As soon as it has recognized them with the help of its bumper and sensors, the Roomba immediately changes its cleaning direction.

iRobot Roomba 865 with iAdapt® Responsive-Navigation-Technology

Due to the iAdapt® Responsive-Navigation-Technology the Roomba vacuums each area up to four times. That ensures a thorough removal of dirt and other pollution. With the Dirt-Detect-Technology the iRobot Roomba 865 recognizes dirty areas and carries out an especially intense cleaning. As soon as the dirt bin is full there occurs a message on the display, saying “Full Dust Bin”.

iRobot 865 Cleans Under Furniture

Due to its minor construction the Roomba 865 cleans under furniture like beds, sofas or cupboards. That ensures a thorough cleaning in hardly reachable areas. The Anti-Tangle-Technology avoids tangling up in cables or the like.

Ideal Robot Hoover for Pet Hair

Even if you are suffering from an allergy or you have got pets – the Roomba 865 is definitely the right choice for you. The integrated HEPA filters are especially designed for allergy sufferers. The AeroForceTM Extractors remove up to 50% more dirt particles, dust, pet hair and other pollution.

Advantage of the AeroForceTM Extractors:
The easy to remove and clean extractors minimize the maintenance of the iRobot 865. That avoids bothersome untangling of pet hair and long hair like with the conventional bristle brush.

Powerful Cleaning of Hard Floors and Carpets

Instead of the conventional combination of brushes and rubber treads, the iRobot 865 picks up dirt using two counter-rotating extractors. Having a brushless system means long hair or pet hair can’t get tangled up. This revolutionary technology ensures an optimised suction.

The iRobot Roomba 800 series offers an up to 5-times higher suction capability compared to previous models. Furthermore, the robot vacuum automatically adjusts to different surfaces, offering the ideal cleaning for any type of floor.

Please note:
The iRobot 865 is not suitable for cleaning carpets and hard floors with the colour black. Black floors/carpets are recognized as abysses – making the Roomba to change its cleaning direction.

Roomba 865 with Charging Station and xLife Battery

The iRobot Roomba 865 is already equipped with a so-called iRobot xLife battery. This battery offers even more charging cycles. When the cleaning process is completed, the Roomba automatically returns to its charging station.

What does the guarantee cover?

The 5-year guarantee covers devices bought from us when accompanied by a receipt or another document that proves the validity of the 5-year guarantee. The 5-year guarantee ends five years after the device was purchased. The guarantee is valid for guarantee claims that occur in United Kingdom.


A guarantee claim is valid when the device purchased by you is damaged or destroyed, as a result of the following causes:

  • construction fault, calculation error, casting defect, material defect and production fault

  • direct effects of electrical energy as a result of a ground fault, short circuit, excessive increase in the current strength, electrical arc-over, formation of electrical arcs, insulation faults, excess voltage and the like.

Excluded from the guarantee is damage caused by external influences, such as a bounce flash in the circuit or fire damage. Such externally induced damages can be covered under certain circumstances by your household insurance and may include:

  • measuring, controlling and safety device failures

  • excessive pressure other than explosions

  • implosion and other effects of insufficient pressure

  • lack of water in steam boiler and other apparatus

  • bursts due to centrifugal force


Within the framework of the extended guarantee, operating errors are covered insofar as they impair the functionality of the product and do not represent a contravention of the operating instructions. For such cases we shall charge an excess of 84 GBP including VAT.


What is NOT covered by the guarantee?

  • Wear and tear, and damage to wearing parts and batteries (the battery is only covered by the manufacturer's guarantee)

  • Damage that does not impair the technical function of the device, e.g. scratches and scuffs.

  • Damage or destruction due to intentional or grossly negligent acts or omissions on the part of the purchaser or other users of the device.

  • Damage or destruction caused by improper installation/assembly, by improper repairs/adjustments, by improper, non-intended or unusual use or cleaning of the device – especially when the manufacturer’s instructions are not followed – and by operating errors.


What service do we provide in valid guarantee cases?

  1. When repair is technically and objectively possible and the costs of repair do not exceed the current value of the device (see clause 3), the device shall be repaired professionally and the costs incurred in the repair reimbursed by the guarantee.

  2. Should repair be technically or objectively impossible or uneconomical (total write-off), you shall receive a replacement device of the same kind and quality up to the amount of the current value (see clause 3). The damaged or destroyed device is returned to us and becomes our property.

  3. The current value of your device is 50% of the purchase price in the 3rd year after conclusion of purchase contract, 40% in the 4th year and 30% in the 5th year of the purchase price as stated in the receipt.


Is your device broken?

Just ask us for help. We will support you with the repair request.

  1. In the matters of a needed repair, a skilled and trained team in service and repair department from us or from the manufacturer itself, will gladly be there for you with advice and act to the side.

  2. Please take care of packing the robot carefully to avoid damage.

  3. Enclose a detailed description of the fault as well as the invoice together with the 5-year guarantee certificate.

  4. The robot must be fully postage paid at and sent to the mentioned address.

  5. Transport costs are paid by you and will not be refunded. We recommend that you keep the postage receipt.
